Blackjack is one of the most popular casino games in the world; it is also the friendliest and the easiest to play. Blackjack enthusiasts play the game like a very serious art.
Blackjack
A hand having an Ace and any card with a value of 10 on the initial first to cards.
Value of Cards
An Ace has a value of 1 or 11. Kings, Queens and Jacks (face cards) have a value of 10 and the rest of the cards counted according to their numerical value.
Wagers
No wager may be made withdrawn, or increased after the first card has been dealt other than a split, a double down, surrender or an insurance bet.
A player may stand on any two cards and may draw on any total other than Blackjack or 21 (hard or soft).
Surrender (Non-rolling Commission-Table)
After the initial deal, players may surrender their hand if they do not wish to continue. Players may not surrender if the dealer's initial card has an Ace showing.
Surrender (Rolling Commission-Table)
There shall be NO surrender in the paid rolling commission Blackjack table (Junket).
Doubling Down
Any hand having 9, 10 and 11 points for the first two cards except split Aces, 21 and Blackjack, may double the bet. When doubling down, one card shall be drawn to the hand.
Split Pairs
Aces, when split, receiving a 10 or picture card count as 21, NOT Blackjack. The bet is paid at even money if the player wins, but loses if the dealer draws a Blackjack.
Insurance
When the dealer's showing card is an Ace, the customer may elect 6 to insure his bet. The customer may place a bet not lower than 1/2 of the minimum bet of the table or up to the maximum of 50% of his/her original bet.
Even Money
When the customer has a Blackjack and the Dealer has an Ace showing, the customer may ask for an immediate payment at the odds of 1 to 1 before any hand draws a third card.
Sharing a Box
The seated player at the table has priority to the second and/or third player(s) and therefore calls the cards irrespective of the amount of their bets.
Winning Hand
- A hand shall be declared a winner:
- If the House's score exceeds 21.
- If the Hand obtains a higher score than the House.
- If the Hand has Blackjack and the House has a score of 21 points with more than 2 cards.
Push or Tie
The hand that exceeds 21 loses its bet upon occurrence even though the House may subsequently exceed 21 points.
Payments
- Blackjack is paid 1.5 to 1.
- Insurance bet are paid 2 to 1.
- All other winning bets are paid 1 to 1.
- The Dealer must take a card on 16 points total or less and stand on total of 17 or more.
